Asked Claude Code to add one command to my Obsidian plugin, it wants to restructure the whole thing

About Obsidian, Claude Code and TypeScript

Resurface is about 300 lines. I said 'add a command that skips today's note' and it made a plan with a settings tab, a folder of services, and a test setup. I just want the one command.

Say the scope up front and be blunt: 'one command, in main.ts, no new files, no refactoring, under 30 lines.' It respects a limit on file count far more than a limit on ambition. If it still plans big, say 'no, smaller' before it writes anything.

It does the same to me in Rust. Anything under ~500 lines it seems to assume is a scaffold you want fleshed out. A line in CLAUDE.md like 'this is a small finished plugin, keep it small' fixed it.

Late to this, but plan mode is the move. Let it plan, reject the plan, ask for the minimal version. One extra message and you skip the mess.
